The wheel alignment equipment is equipped with a BMW quick-clamping device with integrated locating pins. The locating pints are inserted into the designated polycontrol holes of the wheel rims on the vehicle, which ensures direct
and precise positioning. This eliminates the need for rim runout compensation (rolling in the vehicle) as part of the wheel alignment process. The use of sensitive measuring technology on the wheel is completely replaced by the use of 3D reflectors, which simplifies handling in workshop operation. Throughout the entire measuring process, the ride height at the vehicle is continuously transmitted to the wheel alignment computer. This ensures that the respectively valid axle alignment target values are determined automatically depending on the current ride height and precisely compared with the recorded actual values.
Special feature:
The voltage supply of the pickups using integrated nickel metal hydride batteries and wireless data transfer between the pickups on the wheel alignment vehicle lift and the equipment cabinet completely eliminate the need for complex cable laying in the area of the wheel alignment workstation.
